Aquarius Scuba welcomes you to Cozumel, Mexico!
Imagine you were diving through the swim-throughs of a Coral Garden in warm clear waters, drifting along deep walls covered with sponges, fans and macro life, surrounded by colorful schools of fish, turtles, lobsters and crabs… Stop dreaming and join our trip to Cozumel to make it come true!
Prodive Mexico Dive Center at the Allegro Cozumel Resort is perfectly located in the center of the National Marine Park of Cozumel, one of the world´s TOP 10 destinations for diving! Called Ah-Cuzamil-Peten (Land of Swallows) by its earliest inhabitants, Cozumel has been a favorite destination for divers since 1961, when Jacques Yves Cousteau´s documentary broadcast Cozumel´s glorious sea life to the world.
Their boats leave the hotel jetty in front of the dive center for two tank dives in the morning and afternoon, as well as for exciting night dives, and take you to Cozumel´s stunning dive sites of Palancar and Santa Rosa Reef among many others within 5-15min reach only.
Situated in front of Playa del Carmen, Cozumel is a teardrop-shaped coral island, formed by a limestone plateau of 151 sq. miles/ 392 sq km. Measuring 34 miles/ 56 km from North to South and 8 miles/ 14 km from East to West, Cozumel is Mexico’s largest island and the oldest in the Caribbean group. The island is separated from the mainland by a channel only 12 miles/ 19 km wide. There are more than 30 dive sites waiting to be explored and the majority are situated along the West coast and southern end of the island.
